Join DTA/Renew Membership Form

Here are excerpts from the minutes from the spring 2007 meeting regarding the change in dues tructure for DTA membership:

The board presented the following two dues structure options to the membership for discussion and decision:

1. $100 base membership plus $10 for each vehicle in the system
2. $400 annual membership fee

Discussion included clarification on what constitutes a vehicle, a cap on the total fee, concern that we do our fee such that it encourages new members. Motion by Pat Hanson and seconded by Jerry Engel, DTA membership dues be set at $100 base and add $10 for each bus up to a maximum cap of $300 (20 vehicles). Roll call vote—32 AYE 1 NAY. Motion Carried. After additional discussion Brenda appointed Bruce Lindholm, Roger Foster, Dave Osborne & Winnie Jo Jons to a committee to determine proper wording for identifying vehicles included in members inventory to be assessed.

Membership Dues Committee’s recommended wording for establishing new dues structure for DTA: "In all cases where the organization has responsibility for, or owns and holds the title for revenue vehicles, they will be assessed $10 fee per vehicle for DTA dues, plus the $100 base fee." Motion made by Roger Foster and seconded to accept the committee’s wording for identifying vehicles that will be assessed the $10 fee for DTA membership. Motion carried unanimously.
