Mid-Year Training Session Set for Bismarck

Picture of Cami GilbertsonOur mid-year training for this year will be in Bismarck, ND, and facilitated by Cami Gilbertson from Compliance & Safety Services, Inc. of Fargo, ND. Cami has more than a decade of experience in the safety transportation industry. She has worked as both a fleet coordinator and safety director for two companies in Fargo. In 2001 she ventured out on her own.

During her career, Cami has helped many companies improve the effectiveness of their safety departments enabling them to reduce accidents and improve compliance with regulations. Her stories of personal experience and her understanding of the challenges faced by safety directors make her training session enjoyable.

Who will benefit: Transit managers, bus drivers, dispatchers and risk managers.

Cami will cover eight topics during her session, "What U Need to Know!" on Tuesday:

  • Effective Safety & Compliance Programs
  • Basic Regulations
  • Crisis Management
  • Driver Qualification Folders
  • Hours of Service
  • Vehicle Maintenance Records
  • Accident Files
  • What Triggers a Compliance Review

A manual will be included with the class. Cami will be available during breaks, at lunch and after the seminar to answer questions.

Before March 27th, call the Doublewood for room reservations at 1-800-554-7077. The local number is (701) 258-7000. The Best Western Doublewood Inn is located at 1400 Interchange Avenue just south of I-94 on Exit 159 (Highway 83) in Bismarck.

All transit attendees need to get pre-approved RTAP requests from state DOTs for financial reimbursements of conference expenses (motel and travel).

Look for a flyer in your mail late February or early March with more details on the Mid-Year meeting.

Monday night after the business meeting a bus will be available to transport everyone to Midway Lanes for an enjoyable evening of bowling, pizza and beverages.
