Conference Entertainment
This year, Rick Senger provided karaoke on Sunday at the Elks. On Monday, we were privileged to have an Elvis Presley impersonator who did a great job entertaining everyone. Elvis sang many of his favorite songs for the crowd to enjoy. The conference attendees admired, laughed and loved Elvis!
The Dakota Transit Association Roadeo is an opportunity for drivers to gain recognition for their driving skills, to test their talent, to network with other drivers from across the two states, and to socialize. DTA recognizes the top five performers in an awards ceremony at the Roadeo banquet. The drivers with the highest score from North and South Dakota advance to national competition at the 2008 Community Transportation Association of America Roadeo which will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The 2007 Roadeo marshals were Carl Rathbun, River Cities Public Transit, Pierre, South Dakota, and Joe Berger, Elder Care, Dickinson, North Dakota. Their Roadeo responsibilities included monitoring the Roadeo; watching the participants for fair play; making sure the Roadeo course was laid out properly; ensuring there were enough judges to properly score the Roadeo participants and answering questions.
